I have been with NHP for years, but their copays are too high, it is hard to get referrals to specialists and I think their premiums are getting way out of control.

BC BS of Florida is up in the rankings with the most expensive health plan in Florida, the experiences I have had with them and their claims paying experience and plans has not been good, especially for the price they charge.

Vista is the most comperable as far as price and benefits however the experiences I have had with them with coninuation of care and claims payments as well as their list of providers has not been up to par.

United Health Care is a national company that has a provider network in most areas of the US, however they are the most expensive carrier in Florida.

Humana offers great wellness benefits, however the benefits and price of the plans they offer are not as comparable as other carriers.

NHP is very competitive as far as rates and benefits, their claims resolution and payment are strong and they are now adding a more complete line of wellness products to the ones they currently have.

AvMed is very competitive in the Florida market. They have a broad range of Wellness benefits as well as a comprehensive care management program.

Aetna is competitive in the rates aspect but the benefits for the price is not as appealing as other carriers, but Aetna's claims payments and grievance process is outstanding.
